Wadab took their name from the place they were from, Davao (Dabaw). The group consisted of Tato Malay, Nonoy Tan, Mon Torralba, Rey Magtoto and Benjie Caoilan. One of the most popular Filipino bands during the heydays of Manila Sound in the late 70’s, they modelled their sound on The Stylistics and other Philly Disco/Soul bands.
