Started out as a garage band in 1963 called The Crystals. Then in 1969 they changed their name to Balahibo Electronic Band and became a mainstay act at a place called Rino’s bar. The band comprised of Rey Manansala on guitar, Edgar Manansala on organ, Tony Rodriguez on bass, Manny Salvador on drums and Danny Boogie on percussion. They also performed as a rock act in musical plays such as Jesus Christ Superstar with Boy Camara & Maya Valdez. They recorded one other rare Pinoy 45 that I know of titled ‘Death Without Fear’ a psyche gem released on Villar Records in 1974.
