Obscure Pinoy Garage Soul! The Pitch Boys were a 60’s band comprised of Danny Pisigan on guitar, Ernie Tagle on vocals, Rudy Pisigan on bass and Arthur on drums. In later years they performed in Japan under the name The Misfits. I have only come across three of their 45s, two on Summit Records (This and another I shall be sharing at a later date) and one on Independent Records (‘Get On Up’ / ‘Pata Pata’) .
Unfortunately Danny Pisigan and Ernie Tagle are no longer with us but we still have the music. Here we have a superb cover of the James Brown classic originally released in 1966.
